Legal Question in Criminal Law in United Kingdom

I have never been in trouble in my life i have raisedthree grown children and neither have they. I work in a care home and have a crb check carried out every now and then. I recived a cal from work they want to see me re a policce caution for shoplifting. I am trying to find out how to appeal a caution for something i have NOT ADMITTED and i can catagoricley prove was not true

Did you receive the caution in the past ? or are you asked to receive the caution ?

If you received the caution in the past, you cannot appeal against it: because the process of a caution means you formally accepted the caution (an thus also the guilt), eg by signing.

Not admitting the offence does not necessarily rule out that you did not accept the caution: it could have been that the circumstances were so complex, that you decided it would be too difficult to prove your innocence, that you did accept the caution (because you believed it would have no repercussions)
