i want custody of my son and he wants to live with me to
my son suffered a baby shaking injury 9 yrs ago which was caused by my partner at the time i was told i was un able to protect him he is a lot older and ive matured alot an belive i am able to protect him now my mother olds a resendial order at the moment how do i go about changing this mum said it would cost 5000 an i dont have that money and i worry that legal aid will go against me but i really want to have him back and want to go the right way about it. i have continually had contact both supervised and now un supervised i like at in north yorkshire him in west yorkshire but have regular visits will it be so dear to get him back and in the eyes of the court do i have to be totally perfect do i even have to go to court

This could well be exactly the kind of case where a court would agree that it would now be in your son's best interests to live with you and that they could vary the existing residence order in your favour.
