Legal Question in Family Law in United Kingdom

The right for a private education

i have not seen my daughter for three years she is 8 years old-i am married and my wife has 4 boys age 4 to 13.my ex partner is taking me to court for unpaid school fees and future school fees, is this not an infringment on my parenting human rights as i am not in the decision making process.can the courts insist that my daughter attends a fee paying school?

i pay maintenance via the csa.

cfcas adviced me that i should walk away as the mother played a very clever game.

i hope you can help me in this matter

Re: The right for a private education

first of all you have every right to see your daughter, and providing you wish to do so should take appropriate action forthwith.

I cannot see from the information which you provide that you have any obligation to pay these school fees. The amount of maintenance has been fixed by the CSA and there are no other amounts payable.

The situation would appear totally unsatisfactory and in need of being sorted out. I would not advise that you ignore it by simply walking away. If you wish us to advise further under our free advice scheme, we will be pleased to do so if you let us know what your intentions are regarding your daughter.
