Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in United States Virgin Islands

Probate,administratrix

Administratrix not paying real estate tax for probate property. Property a rental. Estate bank account opened. Administratrix and probate lawyer not issuing any reports of estate to heirs. They are now processing to sell the property at 1/4th tax assessed value.

How do I stop the process? What are the probate lawyer and administratrix duties? Should they be reporting the estate account to the heirs?

Re: Probate,administratrix

If what you say is factual, you need to consult your own estate attorney ASAP to find out what's going on here.

I would need to meet with you and review copies of the decedents's will and review any other information you may have [or if estate is intestate, a listing of all the heirs and any documents appointing the administrator for the estate].
