Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Utah
I (plaintiff) went to small claims court to get property back. Defendant filed a counter affidavit and pushed the court date out. Defendant asked for 1500.00 from me and I was asking for 900.00. The judge ruled in my (plaintiff) favor in the amount of 775.00 and also defendants favor in the amount of 715.00. My judgment was higher and 30 days later defendant garnished my wages for 870.00 how is this right? I was never given a chance to collect my judgment and never received any information he needed to collect from me. Please help.
