Legal Question in Technology Law in Utah

Barring warrantless police from a website.

Are there any precedence or avenues to bar local police, without a warrant, from my website? Do they have internet search warrants? If so, do they have to contact us if they obtain such a warrant?

Re: Barring warrantless police from a website.

The answer to all of your questions is "no." Your website is a publication which you voluntarily place in the public domain for the world to view, including the police. Note: even if a warrant were required, they would not need to contact you. However, when a warrant is needed the police are required to present evidence of probable cause of what they suspect before a magistrate or judge, who then issues or denies the warrant request.
