Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Utah
we moved out midway through our lease but gave a 30 day notice andpaid all rent through the day we moved out. landlord kept deposit and is demanding another 1100 dollars that is stated in lease. when we moved out due to circumstances they told us everything was taken care of and not to worry. my question is, if i dont pay and they take me to court would i have to pay 1100 if i lost and my court cost and theirs?
Also, when renting a house and breaking a lease agreement, can it affect your credit?
