Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Utah

incorrrect medication given to my daughter

My daughter was in utah recieving a stem cell transplant. After she was released from the hospital she placed in the care of a home health care pharmacy. this company mixed some of her medication wrong and as a result she was put in the hospital again for another two weeks. She was in serious condition with sodium levels dangerously high. She suffered greatly through severe dehydration, and for some time we were not sure of the outcome, causing severe stress to me and my wife.I was wondering if we had a case for personal injury. Also my daughter has medicade and we wanted to know if any cash settlement would cause her to lose her medicade coverage.Any information we could get would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou.

Re: incorrrect medication given to my daughter

From what you related, it appears that there was malpractice. Your daughter will not lose her medicaid if she wins an award. Any award is to compensate her for her pain and suffering, and other losses - but is not considered income.

There is a strict procedure in Utah to follow, along with time deadlines, so do not wait to follow up. You are welcome to contact me for a free consultation. I hope your daughter is doing well.
