Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Utah

a friend offrered to hold a few belongings of mine in a storage unit they rent we are no longer friends but ive tried to get my things and they say they will text me when they can pay therestorage fees and let me know is that legal ? if they dont pay i will loose my belongings

If the storage fees are not paid the storage company will eventually auction off the contents, including yours. You may want to make an agreement with your exfriend to pay the storage fees to get your property.
