Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Utah

judgements/eminent domain

My husband filed bankruptcy 5 yrs ago it was contested and he has a judgement against him for this/I didn't file bankruptcy, but I did have some cc in my name that had been used in the business - I chose to try to settle with the creditors. One creditor has a judgment against me and they have garnished my wages. Our home now may be taken for road construction. We have a homestead exemption in both our our names but we are concerned that we will lose most of the equity in our home? What can happen in this situation?

Re: judgements/eminent domain

Any creditor with a judgment against you lodged in the county where you live will be entitled to payment from your equity.
