Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Virginia

Boss assaults co-worker

My husband works for construction... He was to work on a Sat.. Well the boss did not come in. So everyone left the job b/c they did not have the materials they needed for the job.. After awhile the boss calls my home and said some vulgar words about my husband. That he needs to bring his A** to work or he does not have a job on Monday... So I called my husband and told him... So he went on him to his job. And he asked his boss to get on the phone to apologize to me for talking vulgar to me. Well the boss shoved him into a chair and slammed him into a wall. My husband called the sheriff for help my husband did not touch his boss. So then the next day he called the corporate office to explain what happened.. Does he have a case?? Should he sue??

Re: Boss assaults co-worker

He could well have a case for civil assault and battery, but unless he was injured it may not be a good case. Your best advice is to check with a Personal Injury Attorney in your town - the VA Bar Association will recommend some if you don't know any.
