Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia

bought used car used draft check from credit union signed wrote check to person two weeks later person called and bank would not honor check because it was a salvaged title vehicle which I did not know he never told us. we have put money into car modifications and asked for our money back for that he said his lawyers said he doesn't have to give us a dime what can he charge me? I still have the car and won't give it until he pays me for what I put into it. he can resell it to some other sucker he lies to with all the upgrades I made to it. My credit union is the one who didn't honor the check not me. I am debating suing him for not telling me it was a salavaged vehicle and now I can't even drive because I can't get insurance on it.

If the seller of this vehicle defrauded you and/or deliberately misrepresented

relevant facts concerning the car's condition in response to your

inquiries, your remedy under the facts described is likely to

sue him in the appropriate Virginia court for your damages resulting from

this transaction apparently now gone awry.
