Are bank accounts held jointly in Virginia Bank barred from creditor action if one one spouse owes on a debt?

No, unless title to the accounts are held under what is called Joint Tenants By

The Entireties. (The bank should have a form which the joint account holders

can fill out to confer title to the funds in these accounts in this manner.)
