Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

Can Credit Card Companies Turn Down Money

I Have Entered Into A Credit Counsling And I Have A Creditor That Turned It Down. Can They Do That And Take Me To Court. If So What Options Will They Judge Give Me If Any. If I Go To Court Does Counsling Help Out In These Situations. Thank You Vivian

Re: Can Credit Card Companies Turn Down Money

Yes, they can reject the plan put forth by the

credit counseling organization and seek to obtain a judgment against you in civil court.

Only the judge who hears the case can decide what options, if any, s/he will give you. And, yes, the

fact that you have sought credit counseling may

inure to your benefit.
