Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

I would like to know, if you have a garnishement and you are laid off does this stop, and if you are recalled does it start were it left off when you return to work?

Yes. of course, the garnishment ceases if there is no more money to withhold

from the judgment debtor's wages, but, yes, it should restart again if the garnishable wages resume within the statutory time frame prescribed by law.
