personal loan question

I live in VA. I loaned someone 1,200.00. I typed up details of the loan & had it signed by myself & the borrower and I had it notarized. he is not paying according to the terms can I do something about it?? thanks

Without seeing the document it is not possible to give you a definite answer. If it is a binding document, you could file a warrant in debt against the borrower.

Consider suing this apparent defaulter on the $1200 loan in small claims court. You can file your case for around $40. (Perhaps, after he's served with the papers, he'll decide to settle up rather than having to explain it to a judge.)
