Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

In the state of Washington we are considered a "communiy property" state. My question is this; if my husband took out three credit cards without my knowledge or my signature, nor am I a co-signer or co-user of any of the cards and I in debt for half of his balances?
