Legal Question in DUI Law in Virginia

Questio about warrant/FTA

I have an employee that works for me at my company. He has a court date on April 9th for a DUI/reckless driving (2nd offense). If he is not present for his court hearing, which constitutes a FTA, and a warrant is issued, what is the likelihood that the police would actually come to his home or job and arrest him? Or would the only time that he would be arrested for the outstanding warrant is if he is picked up for a traffic or some other violation involving the police?

Re: Questio about warrant/FTA

The Failure To Appear (FTA would actually constitute a separate charge which would also be included in the warrant(known as a capias in Va.).

You can rest assured that the Commonwealth authorities will not wait until your employee is pulled over for a traffic stop in order to execute this warrant; they will come to his home,

place of business, or whereever else he might be located to execute the warrant as expeditiously

as possible.
