Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Child Custody Case

I need to obtain an extension for my child custody hearing. My husband is taking me to court for full custody instead of joint. I don't have much money and he is aware that so what can I do?

Re: Child Custody Case

Contact the court to see what you need to do in terms of that court to request a continuance in your scheduled hearing. (After you receive your continuance, you may want to consider contacting the low cost legal services provider that serves your area of the Commonwealth to see whether you might qualify for one of their attorneys to assist you.)
