Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Child support & dcse

HI, I recieved joint & physical custody of my son in Aug 08'. Before this time and currently i am paying childsupport for both my son and daughter. My childrens mother, refuses to drop childsupport or file a review on her case w/ dcse. She feels that if she drops her case she would be payed her back support(which i am currently paying on along w/ current support) . So , around the end/beginning of Aug/Sep 08' , i filed a review w/dcse . I am aware of the 180 day period , but no one has shed any light on my case or even set a review date. This is very nerve recking, because my son lives with me and i still paying support to his mother. I have had at least 4 different case workers , who have given me the run around and the superviors never do their job. They are not making sure that my case gets a review or that I am being treated fairly . I feel that if i was a women I would have had a review , like yester day . i have tried going through the courts to file a motion for review, but they keep telling me to go through DCSE since the case was initiated through them. Im wondering if there is any legal recourse , if i feel like im being discriminated against? or just for the lack of DCSE no giving me a review of my case? please help?

Re: Child support & dcse

I would suggest that you contact the person in charge of your local DCSE district office regarding your complaint, and, if that produces no results, then wite a letter to the head of the DCSE state agency in Richmond with a copy to the Director of the Virginia Department of Social Services(DSS)who has oversight authority over DCSE (last time I checked).
