Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Court Order denying contact with children

I am living with my fiance who is not legally divorced yet. It had been a year and a half and his wife has a court order to keep me from even being around them, I know that most seperation agreements, no cohabitation is allowed, but how long legally can she keep this going on? I have to leave my house and hide from them when they come to visit. Is there anything I can do? Will this be over once they are divorced?

Re: Court Order denying contact with children

In Virginia they only need to be separated for one year in order for him to file for divorce. It doesn't matter if that separation was forced by a protective order. So have him file now for divorce so you don't have to live like a second class citizen! If you have any questions give me a call at 703-598-9220.
