Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I am trying to get a divorce. I am sole owner of my home (was inherited from my father) and husband has been refusing to leave home. My attorney had me change the locks and not let him in. Police allowed him to kick in doors and break in home. Was granted emergency protective order but clerk would not extend it due to fact that I was not physically harmed. That has expired. How do I keep him from breaking back into home?

You need to call your attorney about this and how best to try to prevent this from happening again. You say you are trying to get a divorce, but you may not be trying hard enough.

Once you have hired an attorney, an outside attorney should not attempt to interfere with your contract. Good luck. Attorney Sheryl Shane. Web: www.sherylshanelaw.com.
