My wife has always been the bread

winner in our marriage for 14 yrs.,

we have an 18 mo. old child. As

husband and father, will I be entitled

to alimony that will allow me to live

at the same comfort level and to

provide for the child during his visits?

I will give up custody.

In your situation you can ask for alimony. You will be expected to make a good faith effort to become employed, and if that effort has not been made, the court may impute an income to you based on your abilities and employability. Once the alimony question is decided, a decision will have to be made about child support, with your alimony income and other income, actual or imputed, figuring into the equasion.
