Legal Question in Medical Leave in Virginia

Fmla

I am a 37 year old Diabetic and my health has been steadily declining. I am finding it harder and harder to keep my glucose levels under control. There are times when I have stayed up all night trying to get it to a normal level. Needless to say, it makes it hard and sometimes dangerous for my health to go to work after being up all night. Is thear a way to take a day or two from time to time without endangering my employment statis while trying to keep diabities in check?

Re: Fmla

If your diabetic condition qualifies as a "serious health matter", you should be able to qualify for intermittent unapid leave under the FMLA.

Your treating physician, however, would need to write a letter to your employer affirming that your particular condition in fact should qualify as such.
