cell phone activity monitored

is it legal for a cell phone co manager to intercept cell phone calls and text messages just for her personal curiosity? by intercept i mean tracking all activity on the mobile phone.

Well, like almost everything in the law, there is a difference between what you SUSPECT to be true and PROVING it. The key difference in your question is that a telephone company MANAGER would probably be able to argue that he or she was NOT doing it for personal curiosity but had some valid business reason.

But assuming this could be PROVEN, I am fairly confident this would be against the law.

It would obviously be against the law for someone else to do it. The fact that someone works inside the telephone company makes it trickier. So I would have to do some research on that. But if it would be illegal for a normal person to do it, I am fairly confident it would be illegal for a phone company manager without a valid business purpose to do it as well.
