Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

Small Claims, Warrant in Debt

I have legal proof that I have paid more child support than my TOTAL legal obligation. Both children are 20 years old or older.

The reason is that the Division of Child Support accounting records are inaccurate.

I seek reimbursement of overpaid funds.

forget that approach - what you need to do is an action for an accounting, motion for declaratory judgment, and petition for restitution - you have to do that stuff in the circuit court. if the amount overpaid is not worth hiring a lawyer to get back for you, my advice is to find something more productive to spend your time on.
