Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

I am about to get sued by my mother.
I am still paying her bills and my brother;s mortgage with what is left of her money, I have in account here. I had her POA for 2 years . My brother somehow got her POA . He has been bankrupt twice and it a leach. I live in another state. They are about to sue me falsely claiming that I took all her money and their laywer has sent me a letter asking for a ridiculous amount of money. I sent an accounting to this lawyer for all that I have spent but he sent one back saying that mother does not accept my accounting. Can they get a judgement against me ? They live in Va., I live in Pa.
