Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

I got hired -- well got a verbal acceptance anyway -- for a job as a security officer.
Passed the interview, drug test, and already had an armed guard's license; granted by the State of Virginia. The only thing left to complete the process was my background check.

The background check that they performed however, came back with a black mark on it. It showed I had a warrant out for my arrest in a neighboring state. The company that hired me, naturally ceased all communications with me, meaning of course, I was no longer under consideration.
The trouble is (stop me if you've heard this one before) the person on the background had my name, but it wasn't me at all. I filed a complaint with the company that did the background check, and they did redo the check and the wrong info was now deleted.
I still don't have the job though. I have not been granted a redo by the security company. I was out of work for a good long while, got behind on bills, and not only that, the job I was going to take was very close to my home, which would have saved me a lot of money.
Do I have any sort of redress against the company that did the background check?
