Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

Job Relocation

I recently was recently transfered from my sales position in Minnesota to Virginia. I lost $40,000 on my home when I moved, and my company paid $20,000. This was 2 months ago. I have accepted another job and want to know if I am legally bound to pay any of that relocation money back?

I never signed any documents stating that I need to work a certain amount of time.

I was told that I recieved the same amount as I would have had I chosen to take a 3 month severnce package.

Thanks.
