Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

I work in a hospital L&D unit. To improve security, it has been decided to require all staff to purchase the same brand and color of scrubs with the hospital name and logo

embroidered on them. Shouldn't the hospital pay for these, since these scrubs would be useless if a staff member left to persue employment elsewhere?

Why, yes, of course, the hospital should pay under the facts described

if "Mother Equity" were in charge of the matter (or there was a union contract

requiring the hospital to foot the bill, but in the absence of

either in the employees' corner, so to speak, I think that you had best

be prepared to "fork over" for the cost of the scrubs (in my opinion).
