Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia

Unsupervised child

My roommate leaves a young girl alone in the apartment overnight. She's about 8 years old. He hasn't asked anyone to watch her or even informed us that she is there unsupervised. I've contacted CPS but as of yet haven't recieved a reply. Are the roommates responsible for her if anything happens to her? Do I need to let the property management know of this situation the next time it happens?

Thanks

Re: Unsupervised child

The roommates of this person who leaves an eight year old girl alone in an apartment could not be responsible if some mishap were to happen to the

girl(unless, of course, they caused it).

And, apparently, since you're in the apartment at least part of the night, the little girl is not alone the entire time. And, yes, of course, you could inform the property management of the situation.
