Legal Question in Personal Injury in Virginia

If a person has a car crash, has the car fixed and two days after the return the car goes out of control can you sue the mechanic? The car did not hit anything the second time but had under carriage damage.

Only if you can prove by a preponderance of the evidence that what

occurred with the car going out of control and the damage caused therefrom

was proximately caused by what this mechanic negligently did or failed to do

when he "fixed" the car two days earlier.
