Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

Quit-claim in va...

I recently completed a divorce in June of 2008. My ex-wife moved out of our house and turned it over to me since then. I am told that I cannot sell it since her name is on the deed, but not on anything else. I asked her to file a quit-claim, but she refuses to do so, just to be spiteful. My question is, what are my options as far as having her name removed from the deed so that I can sell the house?

You rdivorce decree should have covered the disposition of the real property. Perhaps it says something like she has 30 days to execute all necessary documents? If it does, and she is failing to abide by this court order, discuss a contempt of court proceeding with your attorney.
