Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Virginia

Explanation of a division date

If the trustee of a will is combative and uncooperative with

the beneficiary, what can be done? I was left as sole heir of my mothers estate and my cousin is the trustee. She has not explained the will to me and is very uncooperative. What rights as beneficiary do I have? Do I need a lawyer?

Re: Explanation of a division date

If you are the beneficiary of the Estate, the personal representative owes a fiduciary duty to you. If he is not doing so, you can go to court (although I recommend you have an attorney) to seek his removal.
