i inherited land and a house and it has a per stirpes clause...does this mean i can't add my wife...and and i able to sell this land

Per stirpes in the will clause having to do with the distribution of the property, very likely means that others related in some way, shape or form to the willmaker also now own a share of this property. Which, if true, would mean that you could not sell the property without their signatures on the sale contract.

It would seem advisable under these circumstances for you to seek consultation on this matter with a local attorney in your area who is knowledgeable and experienced with probate and related law matters as they're currently dealt with in the Commonwealth and who could further advise you.
