Legal Question in Workers Comp in Virginia

How long do we have to suffer

i hired a attorney that was the best according to what o heard, well its been almost a year now and i havent gotten any help other than the pain pills wich im think im addicted too now for relife. i want to know why it takes so long for a simple hearing to determine if i was hurt on job (witch i was) the insurance comp said i didnt say anything i have a witness to the reporting of it. they fired me when i was at hospital the next day , didnt make a report till 4 days later. i thought it was a strained mussul but when i continued to get worse i told the foreman and he did nothing. can i sue him for not doing what was written in the manual that said i should do. and with this lawyer being case heavy if i change lawyers, would i be charged the 20% again by him sence i needed to get another lawyer to have justice done to get a court date faster then he is. i feel like im on the back burner and im not going to have to tell my children again thats there isnt gonna be another christmas again can i get in touch with workmans comp and ask them myself why is it taken so long, this is why theres alot of fraud cases we are forced to go back to work due to having to feed our children and pay taxes

I was rated the best attorney for WC in Central VA in Richmond Magazine. You can check the status of your case by calling the Commission at 804-367-8600. You did not provide enough information for me to determine why your case is being delayed. If you do wish to switch attorneys call me at (804) 358-4766 or (800) 256-8862.
