Legal Question in Business Law in Washington

Invoice price not same as charged amount

Is it illegal for an online company to advertise a price and send me an invoice with that same price, but then charge my credit card a completely different price?

You mention that it applies to WA law. Is it possible the item was provided by a Canadian company? Currency values fluctuate.

If not, then it was improper to charge a different price. Take it up with customer service. If that doesn't work, immediately dispute it in writing with your credit card company, and provide it with a copy of the invoice.

contact your credit card company to complain of fraud and cancel the charges.

Sounds like a sham business to me. If you have already tried to resolve the situation with the business and it has failed, then I would recommend you contest the excessive amount with your credit card company and send them a copy of the invoice to prove your side.
