Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

Father pays $290 a month. Have not had child support order changed in 4 years. Live in WA state. I am 27 years old, stay at home mom. Ex works construction and has grossed the following for past 5 years::$40k in 2008, $14k in 2009, $9k in 2010, $7k in 2011, and $10k in 2012. I understand my income will be imputed to me, what about my ex's? Or will income be based off his tax returns of the past couple years? Our son is 6 years old
