Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

To Leave or not to leave.

I am trying to get some advise for a friend. She wants to seperate with her husband of 7 years. They have two children. The continue not to get along and their fights continue to ge worse. I want to make sure you know their has been ZERO violence involved. She has not filed for seperation yet but plans to. last night he involved the kids in the middle of the argument and played them like a yo yo, telling them even though they were in bed they needed to leave with Daddy because Mommy didn't want him there. She would like him to leave the house but he will not. Can she leave to her mothers with the kids legally? And if she does will this be held against her in future litigation?

Re: To Leave or not to leave.

Your friend needs her own counsel, and you want to be very careful advising her because the issues you are raising are decisions only she can make.

Your local county bar can help hook her up with a low cost clinic or referral if money is an issue.
