Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

When can you revise a parenting plan?

My mothers children will only state in the parenting plan that I can have my kids eveyother weekend. I would like them during the week also, she will not add that to the plan. The sooner I sign this plan though the sooner I get to see my kids. Should I sign it and get it revised or wait till she adds what id like?

Don't sign off now probably. 2 years is the standard required wait time to modify/adjust a PP. every other weekend and a weeknight is a very standard amount of visitation that courts are likely to impose as a minimum if both parents present fairly equally. If there is DV, or the Mom has done the vast parenting, or similar concerns then you might get less at trial. It's surprisingly complicated and impossible to give a simple answer. However, it's usually best to get the PP you want now rather than try to get it later.
