Teen Custody Change

HI, im 16 years old in Washington state. I was wondering if there is anyting i can do to change where i am living, from one parent to another without my parents going into it legally. I want to do this on my own.

Where you live is between your parents and the Court. You aren't old enough to decide where you live, unfortunately.

If it is so bad that you have to get out, contact CPS. You could wind up in foster care or lock-up if you do this, but only you know what you are facing.

Alternatively, you could talk to your parents. There are financial issues associated with where you live and perhaps your parents can work something out to collaboratively create a solution that works for you.

There is no law that says anybody HAS to go to Court.
