Legal Question in Immigration Law in Washington

my question is regarding my application to green card, currently asylum granted and got involved in a domestic violence case, the police arrested me but was never charged, happened two years ago. now uscis has asked me to provide evidence that the charges were dropped. police insisted that they will send report regarding the case to USCIS directly. does the police report affect my asylum status

Police do not normally do this. You should get the report and send it in yourself.
