Legal Question in Personal Injury in Washington

I was renting a duplexa nd upon vacating i was required to shampoo the carpets. in doing so, i slipped and fractured my wrist and two fingers. Is my landlord held liable for medical costs?

Almost for sure no. To even have a chance at a case, you'd have to demonstrate that regardless of your carpet cleaning and slipping as a result, the landlord maintained the premises in some condition that to a reasonable person made carpet cleaning appear safe, when in fact it was not. I even think you'd have to prove the landlord knew about the condition and that it could injure someone who does carpet cleaning. As Mr. Nute said, you are highly unlikely to succeed.
