Legal Question in Traffic Law in Washington

Deferring a ticket

On March 2, 2004 I was in a car accident and was given a negliget driving in the 2nd degree ticket. I deferred it because it was my first ticket ever and i was only 18 at the time. I was given six months to ''keep clean'' and the ticket would be gone. On Oct 22 my six months will be up and i was wondering if i get a letter in the mail or something or do i take the courts word that they'll take it off.

Re: Deferring a ticket

No, usually courts don't send any sort of notice like this. You can, however, after the six months is up, go to or call the court holding the deferred ticket and ask them about it.
