Legal Question in Consumer Law in West Virginia

fram oil filter changed the filter and my engine blew up

We use fram oil filters and do our own oil changes. Our KIA 2002 sodona engine locked up . I had it towed to our local dealership. They said it was the wrong oil filter that caused the problem. We went to walmart to check the number of the filters that we had bought 'we by in bulk' and the fram co. had changed the number recommended for the van. so we thought maybe we did get the wrong number of filters. Next we went to the parts store that we use and ask to see a 2004 /2005 oil filter chart and sure enough the filter number we used was on the old chart. we had bought the right filter but somewhere after we bought our filters they changed the recommened filter and now I have a blown engine that Kia says has a voided warranty because of the wrong fram oil filter. Please help

How much for new (reconditioned used) engine?

Were you told or instructed to use the filter that you bought?

You may have to sue.
