Beneficiary of Life Ins. Policy

If I am the beneficiary of my son's life insurance policy and he did not change it when he got married, if he passes away without changing it will his wife be entitled to any portion of the policy just because she is his wife?

Yes, his wife and you being the mother, are equal in equal shares are entitled in all the estate left by your son by operation of law as under the law nomination carry no weight as nominee has only right to collect the estate of the deceased and thereafter he is legally bound to distribute the same in equal shares among the legal heirs.
