Legal Question in Business Law in Wisconsin

Fair compensation

I work in manufacturing for a company that makes hearing protection. We have a customer, a huge national distributor who has govenment contracts. One of our products is specified in a specific government contact. The customer has decided that they would not compensate their sales force for our product because we are not one of their ''Teir 1'' suppliers. Is this legal? We are a small business and have worked very hard for the enduser to realize and demand our technically superior product. By not compensating their employees, our product is being black balled by the sales force. Do we have any legal recourse?

Re: Fair compensation

Hello,

Unfortunately, it is not possible to answer this question without more facts. On the surface, it seems like the other company doesnt have to sell your product or pay it sales force, unless you have a contract with them that says otherwise. However, there may be other solutions to your problem. Your company will have to give more facts to a lawyer to get an opinion to rely on, and to see what options there are. Best wishes,
