Legal Question in Criminal Law in Wisconsin
bail jumping
In 1994,I was arrested on felony drug charges in Sauk County Wisconsin.After spending some time behind bars I was released on bail.I then jumped bail.How do I find out if I have a warrant for my arrest without turning myself in?

In most counties your attorney can just call and ask - declining, of course, to identify you as the client. It is almost certain that a warrant exists if you jumped bail. The best way to clear the warrant is to have your lawyer negotiate a voluntary surrender. Not an attractive option but better than getting picked up either in or out of state.
