Legal Question in Family Law in Wisconsin

I am in the process of a divorce. I have attemepted to serve him through a process server and now am completing a service by publication. In the legal notice it states he has 45 days to respond. My scheduling hearing is sooner than the 45 days. Does this mean I need to push back the hearing? Is it 45 days from the first day the ad is published or the last? I have to run it for 3 consecutive weeks.

Go to the hearing and they will tell you how they will proceed.

This happens all the time and they reschedule these hearings accordingly.

Eventually you will get a default hearing without him, and that is the best you can do.
