Legal Question in Family Law in Wisconsin

spousal maintenance

Is there any recent case law for spousal maintenance. I supported my fiance and then wife through med school , residency, and then fellowhip. ( 11 years 7 3/4 married). I quit my job to move for her career, she filed for divorce 180 days later after establishing residency in WI. We have two young boys. What can I expect for spousal support and how hard is it for a male to get reimbursement alimony. Thanks

Re: spousal maintenance

There are many appellate cases that deal this kind of issue. But each case is driven by the complete set of circumstances and attendant facts. I urge to immediately seek the professional assistance of an attorney experienced in family law for a complete analysis of your situation. Do no try to look at one issue in isolation. You have to look at all the issues together including child custody/placement.

As you describe your situation, it certainly appears that you have a very compelling case and you should be represented by counsel at the very earliest possible moment.
